Sometime in the Near Future

According to the bible, in the near future, we look forward to a paradise earth. Psalms 37:11 says, "But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."

Also, according to the bible, the will be a resurrection of those in God's memory. John 5:27, 28 says: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement."

So, with that in mind, what would a daily newspaper of that time be like? A "newspaper" was compiled by home schooled witness children. Also, keep in mind that these are children of different ages and capabilities. It is my hope that you ENJOY reading this newspaper, as opposed to the newspapers of today..

RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE!
by Abigail Z.

No more will anyone say, "I can't understand you". We all now speak and understand the same Hebrew language that our forefathers spoke before that awful Nimrod decided to build a tower so tall as to reach the heavens, and Jehovah had to stop him and his followers by confusing their language.

The amazing thing about this development is that we didn't have to spend weeks or years in a school to learn Hebrew. Instead, Jehovah's holy spirit imprinted the Hebrew into our minds, just as he put the many languages into the minds of the people in Nimrod's day.

Being united in our language helps us in our global home building program, at the meetings, communicating with all, and in teaching the truth to newly resurrected ones.

MONEY WORTHLESS!  World Currencies Disposed.
By Emily R.

Anyone who still has money should get rid of it right away. We will not be using a monetary system like the old earth had. Newly resurrected ones who are having a hard time adjusting are urged to contact their local congregation elders for assistance.

MONEY PANDA POPULATION EXPLODES!
By Sherri A.

You'll be happy to know that pandas have made a wonderful recovery in the wild. Reports from our brothers indicate a great increase in the baby panda population. They have also been spotted in areas where pandas were unknown in the old world.

With man no longer a threat to the panda's environment, we certainly see the marvelous way Jehovah's created everything to live together in peace.

THE POWER OF MAGNETS
By Emily R.

Remember those old days when we drove gasoline-engine cars? New advances with magnetic power now make it possible to power cars with magnets. If you like to learn more about this new development, classes on magnetic power will be held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th days of next month at the Learning Center.

WHEELCHAIR RAMP FUN
By Hannah C.

Sister Lewell, who was in a wheelchair in teh old world, came up with a fun way to recycle. She set up a recreational facility using wheelchair ramps and wheelchairs. You can bring your kids ages six and up to 113 Salvation Road. Parking facilities for horses and camels are available. Open at high sun daily.

ENVIRONMENT UPDATE

Isn't it wonderful to see Jehovah's blessing upon the new earth? We now live in a world free of chemical pollution. Organic farming techniques, like crop rotation and the use of natural fertilizer are also enhancing the condition of the soil itself as well as helping to restore the balance of the natural world.

Wind power is now being used for large scale electricity production. wind power is safe, clean, and renewable. And with the enormous amount of energy the earth receives from the sun, man will never again rob the earth of non-renewable fossil fuels. As survivors will recall, these "natural" resources were nearly depleted in the old system. Their excessive use were major contributors to acid rain and the greenhouse effect.

With these adverse conditions now completely reversed, rivers again team with fish and the forests are expanding and becoming the home once again to exotic wildlife. Once again the vital role of the world's rainforests can be appreciated as they help in regulating the earth's climate, through their position in the oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water cycles. No longer are rich nations demanding resources. Balance has been restored.

Thanks go to our Almighty Creator, Jehovah God. While unequal sharing of a nation's resources was once a major problem, never again will our Grand Maker allow man to dominate man to his injury.-Eccl. 8:9

ANIMAL ANTICS
By Emily R.

"The bear and the calf will feed as one" Would you like to swing with the monkeys, or play with the giraffes? Well, you can! We don't have to worry about them hurting us, because it's the new system.

Would you like to slither with a cobra? You can do that, too! Diana R. saw a hole. there was someone it it. She put her hand in the hole and felt something smooth. A snake came out and curled around her arm. But it didn't harm her! She wanted the snake for a pet, but her mother said "No".

Now that animals don't hurt each other anymore, we don't have to be afraid because they won't hurt us either. They are all our friends.

WEATHER OUTLOOK
By Cheryl R.

I think our weather will be quite warm now. Though we'll still have winter, the weather will not get as cold as it did before. And in the middle of summer it won't get as hot as it used to (in the old world). There'll be no tornadoes or hurricanes any longer.

Jehovah fixed the atmosphere - which people had ruined - so now the sun rays don't directly hit the earth. Instead the sun heats up the water canopy and the heat spready evenly around the globe.

Jehovah said that the deserts would "blossom as the rose". Now that there is rain in the desert, the plants are growing everywhere.

Places that used to be frozen all the time are now much warmer. The places where we live will be just the way we like it, all the time!

RESURRECTION NOTICES
IDA S.A.

Ida was 85 years old when she died in 1995. She was recently resurrected. Her first words were "I'm glad to be in the paradise! I knew it would come!"

Ida's granddaughter, Cheryl R., and the rest of her family were there to welcome her back. Anyone who knew Ida and would like to see her can visit her this week at teh Resurrection Center.

ENOCH

Anna R. is the first to report that Enoch has been resurrected. He found the Bible very interesting. When he was first resurrected he wondered where he was. Anna told him her answer bason on the Bible. He wanted a copy of the Bible for himself, so she got him a new copy. He thanked her and went home to read it.

Some time later Enoch visited Anna at her house. He told her, "The Bible is both inspired of God and interesting. It tells true stories of people for the time of Adam and Eve to now! I'm going to show all the other people this!" And that is what he is doing. This should, indeed, be an example we should follow.

ALPINE ICEMAN

Hannah C. reports that the Alpine iceman, who was featured in the May 8, 1995 AWAKE! has been resurrected. As you may recall, the frozen mummy was found in the Italian Alps by a German couple on a hike. The Alpine iceman was found yesterday in a cold chamber in Innsbruck. Hannah is scheduled to interview him in two days. He is very "tired" after his long rest.

He should be able to answer many questions about the past. When showed the article about him he was very impressed with our knowledge of him. Hannah will have up-to-the-day reports as the resurrection list gets longer.

OLIVE IRENE G.

Shortly after her resurrection, Olive was met by her family - son, Gary; daughter-in-law Pat; granddaughter, Chris; grandsons, Ben and Seth - and many other relatives and friends.

This is the first time Seth has met his grandmother face-to-face (he has seen pictures) since he was born in the old system after her death. He has planned a special meal of her favorite foods: cornbread, beans, fried potatoes. Fresh picked corn, hot coffee, and more. For dessert he chose chocolate pie with toasted meringue on top.

Evening plans will let Grandma G. and Grandma M. (previously resurrected) have their teatime. Later they will discuss happenings since their passing, followed by a stroll in the garden for future gardening plans.
