DID YOU KNOW...

    The average American watched more than 4 hours of TV each day. At this rate, by age 65, that person will have spent 9 years of their life watching television (or 28 hours/week, or 2 months of non-stop TV watching per year). Upon graduation from high school, the average American child will have spent more time watching TV than in school. (A.C. Nielson Co., 1996)

1. Play a board game.

2. Write a letter to someone you care about.

3. Go on a family picnic.

4. Draw.

5. Organize a community clean-up.

6. Read a book alone or with a group.

7. Plant a tree, flower or garden.

8. Construct a kite. Fly it.

9. Learn a few words of another language.

10. Listen to the radio and sing along.

11. Make homemade jam.

12. Volunteer for a community organization.

13. Take a hike.

14. Watch the clouds.

15. Become a tutor.

16. Write a story.

17. Watch the sunset; watch the sunrise.

18. Workout.

19. Learn sign language.

20. Think.

21. Laugh.

22. Share time with your family!
